Malik Feroze Khan appointed as the new Tamil Nadu Election Commissioner

Malik Feroze Khan has been appointed the Tamil Nadu Election Commissioner. The Chennai High Court has recently ordered the Tamil Nadu Election Commission to conduct the local elections before 14th May.
In response, Tamil Nadu Election Commission had explained that this was not possible and more time is required to conduct the local elections.
In this scenario, Mr. Seetharaman, who was the Tamil Nadu Election Commissioner, retired from services. The post remained vacant. The media was active on this.
Subsequently, Malik Feroze Khan has been appointed as the new Tamil Nadu Election Commissioner. It may be noted that Malik Feroze Khan retired in 2014 as an IAS officer.
