The process of document verification for the appointment of laboratory assistants in government schools is scheduled to start from tomorrow (9th April) except for Chennai district. 22000 candidates are participating.
The written test to fill up the 4632 Laboratory Assistants post in all government high schools and higher secondary schools was conducted in the year 2015. Around 8 lakh candidates wrote the test.
The results of the written test were released on 24th March. The appointment of laboratory assistant will be done at the district level. Accordingly, as per the existing vacancies in each district, So, 22000 candidates are included in the document verification process at the ratio of 5 candidates for each vacancy.
Documentation verification is scheduled from tomorrow (9th April) to 11th April in all districts except Chennai at notified centres. The invitation letter for participating has already been sent to the candidates by post by the respective district primary education officers.
During the document verification, all relevant original documents such as educational qualification, caste certificate, and experience certificate. It may be noted that marks awarded will be based on the furnishing of all these details.
After the document verification process, a merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the written test and the assessment during document verification.
Selected candidates will be issued the appointment order through a counselling session by the district education officers.
Because of the by-election in the R.K. Nagar legislative assembly constituency, the document verification is not being done in Chennai district. Dates for document verification in Chennai district will be announced later by the department of school education.
