Road caves in again at Anna Salai - Traffic diverted

A section of the road in Anna Salai has caved in again. The public is shocked and panicked as this is the 2nd time.
A crater has formed when the section of the road caved in near the Thousand Lights Area.
It is found that the crack which occurred day-before-yesterday (Sunday, 9th April) has widened by 10 feet.
The reason for the road cave-in has been attributed the tunnelling work of the Metro Rail in progress.
The crater formed on Sunday’s cave-in had just been repaired and traffic was restored. Now, it has occurred again. The public is alarmed. The public has been advised not to venture to visit that area. Traffic has been diverted.
