The temperature has touched 100 Degrees Fahrenheit yesterday (Monday, 10th April) in 10 cities in Tamil Nadu. The maximum temperature of 106.7 degrees Fahrenheit was recorded at Karur.
An official from the Chennai Meteorological centre explained that there is a cyclonic formation over the interior Tamil Nadu and Kanyakumari Ocean area. Because of this cyclonic formation, there are prospects of rain in the next 24 hours in a few places in South Tamil Nadu.
Dry weather will persist in Northern Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
