104 women police sub inspectors employed throughout Tamil Nadu State have been promoted as inspectors. They joined in the year 2004 in the Police Department.
Earlier, around 2 months ago, 165 sub-inspectors in the 1st phase and later 21 sub-inspectors in the 2nd phase were promoted as inspectors on a priority basis. Now, 104 women sub-inspectors are promoted as inspectors.
These recently promoted sub-inspectors are placed throughout Tamil Nadu in various department/police stations - Chennai, Madurai, Nellai, Salem, Southern Region, Northern Region, Central Region, CBCID, Economic Crimes, and Railways.
Most of them are promoted to continue their work in the same place of posting or within that regions. This arrangement has made all the recently promoted inspectors relieved and happy as they are settled family persons.
Further, 69 inspectors have been transferred throughout Tamil Nadu including 10 from Chennai. The transfer orders were issued by DGP Rajendran yesterday (Thursday, 13th April).
