Bahubali, which was released in the year 2015 created history in the world of Indian movies. It was a roaring mega-hit and drew worldwide attention for its values.
The movie created a record the highest collection among the Indian movies.
Now, its sequel, Bahubali is released in theatres today (Friday, 27th April). It has already shown the trend to match or even exceed the performance of Bahubali by creating a record even before its release.
Bahubali-2 is being released worldwide in 4 languages - Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi. Within 24 hours after the start of advance booking, over 10 Lakh tickets have been booked in advance.
Bollywood circles inform that this has beaten the record created by the Hindi movie Dangal starring Aamir Khan.
As Bahubali is being released worldwide in 8000 theatres, it is expected that the movie will make a huge collection within the first 4 days of its release.
With the movie slated for release today (Friday, 29th April), being a weekend followed by a holiday on Monday, 1st May, being a holiday on account of May Day, it is expected that quite a large number of families will be planning to rush to the theatres to watch the movie over the 3-day holiday. On top of this, no movies of superstars and megastars are slated to be released on 5th May (the following Friday). This leaves the market exclusively open for Bahubali-2 - so, the collections will not fall in the theatres as there is no competition.
