Polio drops administered today also (1st May)

During the 2nd Phase of the polio drops administration, 67.20 Lakh children have been given polio drops. For the children left out, the camps are functioning today and tomorrow (1st and 2nd May) as well.
The 1st phase of polio drops administration was done during 2nd April. 2nd phase was conducted yesterday (Sunday, 30th April).
43051 camp centres were set up throughout Tamil Nadu in the government hospitals, Anganwadi centers, bus and railway stations where people gather in large numbers, etc.
Over 2 lakh personnel from the staff from the department of health, Anganwadi staff, and self-initiated personnel were all deployed in these camps.
The camp was targeted to administer polio drops for 71 Lakh children. Actually, 67.20 Lakh children were administered with polio drops.
The Health Department officials informed that polio drops administration will be carried out today and tomorrow as well, in the bus and railway stations. Also, a survey will be conducted and action will be taken on house-to-house visits.
