The stations in the section from Koyambedu - Thirumangalam - Anna Nagar - Shenoy Nagar - Pachaiyappa College - Kilpauk - Nehru Park are being constructed with the latest hi-tech and facilities. Especially, the air-conditioning is done with the latest hi-tech equipment and gadgets.
The Chennai Metro tunnel corridor is at 17 metres below the normal ground level. The ticket counters are located at 8 metres below the ground level.
In order to make the temperature/climate conditions uniform and better at this underground level and also to provide the passenger with some comfort level, the entire section is being air-conditioned.
