The hottest part of the summer in Tamil Nadu, also known as Agni Nakshatram or Kathiri Veyyil, starts from today (Thursday, 4th May).
The weather already remained hot even during the month of April. Hot winds were blowing across. Districts Karur and Vellore recorded temperatures over 100 Degrees Fahrenheit.
Now, the stage is set for the peak of the summer, Agni Nakshatram from today and ends on 29th May. The intensity of heat will be much more than the average level. It is expected that hot winds will also be blowing across.
Presently, the wind is blowing from the coastal area towards the interior land area. Because of this, the impact of heat is somewhat reduced and humid air flow is also felt. Even then, the Chennai Meteorological officials have informed that this trend will change in the next 2 days for more oppressive heat.
