The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that though Agni Nakshatram or Kathiri Veyyil or the peak summer is start, the intensity of heat will be lesser in the next 3 days.
The director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre explained that due to the changes in the direction of coastal winds, the intensity of heat will be less in the next 3 days. However, it will be hotter during the same period in the interior districts of Tamil Nadu.
He informed that there are possibilities for summer rains in the interior districts in next 2 days. However, as far as Chennai Metro city is concerned there are no prospects of rain in the next 3 days. Dry weather will prevail.
This year the high intensity of summer has started earlier recording high temperatures. Generally, the temperatures are high only during the period of Agni Nakshatram. However, this year, the high temperatures are being recorded even in April when 110 Degrees Fahrenheit has been recorded.
