Preparatory work for local elections 90 percent completed

The Tamil Nadu State Election Commissioner M. Malik Feroze Khan informed that the basic preparatory works for conducting local elections have been completed 90 percent.
Based on the final voters list, the sorting (Ward wise in each district) and checking activities are in progress.
The balance 10 percent work is expected to be completed by the end of this month.
For those who filed their nominations earlier (When the local elections were cancelled), 100 percent of the deposit has been repaid. As the deposit amount in the rural local elections is somewhat less, the repayment of this has not been made and it is held. The concerned officials have been informed to take action. The candidates who filed the nominations in the rural areas are now advised to come to the concerned offices and get the deposit back.
