Targeting to expand its customer base, here is Reliance Jios new move that allows customers avail a JioFi 4G router by exchanging their old data card, dongle or hotspot router.
The exclusive plans launched are as follows:
Data cards, dongle or hotspot routers can now be exchanged at any Jio Digital store or Jio Care store. Against these products that they submit, users get 4G data worth Rs 2010. For the new JioFi router, users need to pay Rs 1,999, and the initial recharge of Rs 408 (Rs 309 for the monthly plan and Rs 99 for Jio Prime membership) that is valid for 84 days is mandatory.
So, the customers need to pay Rs 1,999, cutting out 4G data worth Rs 2010 which almost nullifies the pricing. So, it can better be called as a free internet connection. Now, for this, the users need to pay Rs 408 compulsorily.
Coming on to the second plan, it does not require the customers to get the data connections exchanged. For a price of Rs 1,999, users can get JioFi following a compulsory recharge of Rs 408. However, they can avail Rs 1,005 equivalent 4G data and hence the price arrives at Rs 994 which is Rs 1,005 subtracted from Rs 1,999.
