There is going to be another revision in service charges as announced by the State Bank of India. This will come into effect from 1st of June 2017. For each and every cash withdrawal made using the ATM card, a charge of Rs 25 will be applicable. RuPay classic cards will only be offered for free.
For withdrawals done beyond 4 times, the service charge will be Rs 50 along with service tax per transaction. For other bank ATMs, it will be Rs 20 plus service tax and for SBI ATMs, Rs 10 plus service tax will be applicable.
For cash deposits up to Rs 10,000 made through banking correspondent, 0.25 percent charge of the value will be applicable. The minimum value is Rs 2 and maximum is Rs 8 along with service tax. When the withdrawal is done through banking correspondent up to Rs 2,000, 2.50 percent charge will be applicable for the transaction along with service tax.
For IMPS funds transfer done through net banking, those made up to Rs 1 lakh, the charge is Rs 5 with additional service tax. For transactions between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 2 lakh, the charge is Rs 15 and service tax. For transactions between Rs 2 lakh and Rs 5 lakh, the charge is Rs 25 and service tax.
When soiled or imperfect notes are exchanged, up to Rs 5,000 exchange up to 20 pieces, no charge will be applicable. When done beyond 20 pieces, Rs 2 per piece will be implied for the exchange.
