Private drinking water cans suppliers on strike from today

Demanding the withdrawal of the new GST of 18 percent imposed on the drinking water cans, the private drinking water supply agencies plan to start an indefinite strike from today evening (Sunday, 28th May).
It is expected that this strike may lead to acute water shortage of drinking water cans in the suburban areas of Chennai Metro and the districts of Kanchipuram and Thiruvallur.
