A baby boy was born at a height of 35,000 feet from the sea level in a Jet Airways plane on air. The flight was between Saudi Arabia and India. This air-born baby gets a free lifetime pass from the airline as the very first birthday gift of his entire lifetime.

The Jet Airways flight 9W 569 took off at Dammam and arrival destination was Kochi at 2.55 am on Sunday. The expectant mother was traveling onboard and was an emergency of premature labor. The crew diverted the flight to Mumbai on accounts of medical emergency.

The Boeing 737 carrying 162 passengers was above the Arabian Sea and the cabin crew had made an announcement request for the doctors to come forward. There was however none. So, a female nurse traveling to Kerala called Wilson volunteered herself to deliver the baby with the help of airline staff. Once the plane was landed in Mumbai, the mother and baby were rushed to a nearby hospital where they said the two are doing well, say airline sources.
