The state government secretary of the department of the school education, Mr. T. Udhayachandran, informed that job opportunity counselling centres will be set up in every government high school and higher secondary schools.

The award function for the National Youth leader and the completion of the refresher training for NSS (National Social Service) officials and schools/students and their excellent performances was conducted yesterday (Tuesday, 20th June) at the Vivekananda Auditorium in Anna University on behalf of the state government department of school education.

The secretary of the school education department participated in this function and distributed awards to the schools which excelled in NSS. In his address, he mentioned that the state government is planning to make huge changes in the education system.

Complete reformation is being planned. NSS (National Social Service) officials and students have a huge role to play in these plans. The teachers have to guide the outgoing students who complete their schooling by giving proper guidance regarding the selection and pursuit of higher studies.

In this regard, a decision has been taken by the school education department to set up job opportunity centres in every government high school and government higher secondary school.

2 teachers and 1 boy student and 1 girl student will be selected from each school and will be given a special training on higher education and job opportunities.

The facility to send SMS about the results of +2 and SSLC public examinations was introduced in this year.

Further, it has been decided to send SMS to students regarding the final dates for applying to various higher courses.
