Prices of KTM bikes in India have increased by up to Rs 5,797 with immediate effect. There is no clarity about the reason behind the hike - whether it is due to GST that has come to effect today. According to reports, the price hike will be applicable post-GST, its said.
Indian Autos Blog reads that all the models including 2017 KTM Duke 200, 2017 KTM Duke 250, 2017 KTM Duke 390, 2017 KTM RC 200 and 2017 KTM RC 390 will see this price hike in India.
The price hike in KTM 200 Duke is from Rs 143,500 to Rs 147,563. Its 250cc sibling 250 Duke has increased from Rs 173,000 to Rs 177,424. There is Rs 628 price hike in KTM 390 and is priced Rs 226,358. The model KTM RC 200 is sold for Rs 176,527 and has seen a hike of Rs 4,787 from its old rate Rs 171,740. Rate of RC 390 is increased by Rs 5,797 and sold for Rs 231,097.
The model 2017 Duke was released earlier this year and introduced the 250 Duke as the latest member. There is a 248.8cc single cylinder to power 250 Duke, and it comes with liquid cooled engine to produce 30bhp of power and 24Nm peak torque.
