Prospects of rain in Tamil Nadu

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of light rain in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
There is a cyclonic format developing in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the coastal area of Andhra. This might lead to high prospects of rain in Tamil Nadu.
With the prevailing unprecedented drought conditions in Tamil Nadu, the intensity of heat has come down substantially following widespread rains in several areas in Tamil Nadu.
Due to a recent formation of a thermal convection, there are prospects of rain with thunder in a few places in the next 24 hours in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The Chennai Metro City will remain cloudy. It may rain with thunder in the evening or night.
