Toll gate charges up in ECR

The toll gate rates have been revised at the ECR (East Coast Road) after a gap of 15 years. The state government of Tamil Nadu has announced that the revised charges would be effective from 15th July. It will be valid until 31st March next year.
It is gathered that another scheme to introduce monthly passes for the customers who use it on a daily basis.
The East Coast Road extends from Uthandi (Near Chennai) till Anumantahi (Near Puducherry).
It is an important news to note that the road from Uthandi to Mamallapuram has been already converted into a 4-lane highway.
