Airtel users can now carry forward unused data

All the postpaid customers on Airtel will be able to carry forward the unused data of the month to the next billing cycle starting from 1st August 2017.
 
According to the telecom provider’s statement, one can carry forward up to 200GB of unused data. They can download MyAirtel App to keep track of their data usage.
 
This move is made as a part of digital innovation program by Airtel. It intends enhancing customer experience in all its various services and touch points.
 
In the next 3 years, Airtel is likely to introduce Rs 2000 crore towards various digital initiatives for improving simplicity and interactivity of customer experience.
 
Some of the other initiatives included under Project Next program are 
  • Customized solution for postpaid customers - postpaid customers will now be able to obtain customized solution to each of their family members. They can obtain multiple postpaid connections using MyAirtel app. They will be enabled to pool and share the data benefits across connections. They are also free to add Airtel Postpaid connections to the family postpaid. It is now seamless to switch between prepaid and postpaid using MyAirtel App.
  • The all new MyAirtel App – there is a latest version of MyAirtel app from Airtel. This offers its customers with real time notifications and provides service fulfilments and change of plans.
  • Airtel Secure – this is a kind of digital smartphone protection suite with which customers can easily protect their smartphones from accidental damage or liquid damage. In case a device faces accidental damage, there will be Airtel’s pick up service and it will be repaired at authorized service centre, and the repaired phone will be delivered back to the customers. For up to 2 year old phones, Airtel will be providing damage protection. Airtel Secure has Norton Mobile Security Suite coming intact. This has anti-malware protection and App Advisor where it monitors all sorts of intrusive behaviors.
  • The Next-Gen Airtel Stores – over 2500 stores are getting redesigned now so as to incorporate newer digital technologies for enhancing customer experience. Digital entertainment hubs is one such move where customers can explore and experience the digital content provided by Airtel. This includes movies, music, Live TV, games, and so on. Customers can also design digital solution for themselves using touch screen tabletop.
