A temporary tourist visa fee exemption scheme, and temporary Visa on Arrival fee reduction scheme are introduced by the Royal Thai government. This is introduced as a celebration of its 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relationship between Thailand and India.
According to the first scheme, applicants who seek for tourist visa to Thailand need not pay any visa fee of Rs 2000 until 31st August.
Visa applicants can send in their applications through VFS Global Services Pvt Ltd on
www.vfs-thailand.co.in, says a press release issued by the Royal Thai Consulate General.
From 2,000 THB, the visa on arrival fees is reduced to 1,000 THB at the designated immigration checkpoints.
Promotional airfare
There is also a promotional airfare introduced by Thai Airways. Those traveling between Chennai and Bangkok and beyond the destination can get their tickets book from Rs 16,000 onwards using the official airline website
