New Rs. 20 currency notes soon

The Reserve Bank of India has informed that it will release a new series of Rs. 20 currency notes. The last time Rs. 20 currency notes were printed was in 2005. Now, new currency notes of the denomination of Rs. 20 will be printed soon.
They will be on ‘S’ series. The notes will have Mahatma Gandhi print on one side and the signature of the RBI governor Urjit Patel.
Though the new Rs. 20 currency notes are released, the old notes of Rs. 20, already in circulation, will continue to be valid.
