It has been a decades-old practice to register in the Employment Exchange Offices for any state government jobs.
A survey was taken to find how many have registered in the employment exchanges till last month.
As per this survey, 81,77,472 individuals have registered in the employment exchanges awaiting state government job opportunities.
It is remarkable to note that out of this, around 21 Lakhs individuals belong to the age group below 23 years and includes both men and women who have attended colleges. Also, the number of people in the age group 24-35, awaiting jobs after registering in employment exchanges, is around 29 Lakhs.
A majority of the waiting lot are candidates who have completed teacher training course. Out of this, 3.92 Lakhs are graduate teachers. 2.86 Lakh are post-graduate teachers.
Apart from this 216 law graduates and 794 medical graduates have also registered in the employment exchanges.
