Today is the last day to file Income Tax Returns

Today (Saturday, 5th August) is the last day for filing the Income Tax returns for the financial year 2016-17.
Earlier, the IT Department had announced 31st July as the last date to file IT returns. However, on the very last day of 31st July, there was a huge lot of crowd waiting to file IT returns. As such, the server failed. Hence, the last date for filing IT returns was extended to 5th August.
The IT Department officials have informed that the offices would be open until 12.00 midnight tonight (Saturday, 5th August).
