This appeal will be taken up for enquiry today (Tuesday, 8th August). In case the verdict favours the state government of Tamil Nadu, the counselling may start within the next 2 or 3 days.

Further, it is eagerly expected that the Tamil Nadu state government’s appeal to the central government seeking exemption from NEET at least for this year and this petition will be approved by the president.

As per the Supreme Court order, the counselling must be completed before 31st August. Hence, it is planned to conduct the 1st Phase of counselling in Tamil Nadu during this week.
