The launch of Reliance Jio was made just about one year ago in the Indian telecom sector. Since then, Jio has created huge waves with its free offers during launch for about 6 months followed by slashed rate offers that forced the other incumbent operators to cut down their tariffs.
It is likely that JioFiber would follow the same in broadband industry as well and offer its services at slashed rates. However, there is no clue about the date of launch of the service.
During its announcement earlier this year, it was said that JioFiber will get launched in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Jamnagar, Surat, Ahmedabad, and Vadodara in its JioFiber Preview offer.
In a picture posted on Reddit last month, Jio has indicated an overview of JioFiber and how its plan will look like. In it, it is understood that the company will be providing 100 Mbps speed having 100GB per month cap for the first 3 months. This will be more or less the same as the price strategy of JioPhone.
So far, no kind of official stamp is given about the commercial launch. However, it is speculated that the services will get launched during the last quarter of this year.
