BSNL launches the largest digital wallet

In partnership with MobiKwik, state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a mobile wallet in order to facilitate one-tap bill payment to all its 100 million plus customers.
 
Apart from this, the subscribers can also make use of the digital wallet to buy products from 1.5 million merchants in India.
 
MobiKwik has developed this digital wallet for BSNL, as per the telecom corporation’s initiative to take digital payment methods to rural and semi-urban parts of India.
 
With this app, users can make easy online mobile recharge, pay bills, shop or book bus or train tickets.
 
Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha, during the launch of digital wallet said customers can enjoy absolute ease of payment with this co-branded wallet. This will be available for all customers, thus facilitating the rural hinterlands residents whom we often forget or ignore.
 
This partnership will make sure that the population of more than a 100 million customers can seamlessly enjoy transacting and making financial payments via the co-branded MobiKwik wallet, said Anupam Srivastava, the BSNL Chairman.
 
There are more than 1.5 million merchants on the network, thus being the largest wallet to be set up by any telecom company, BSNL states with pride.
