Total solar eclipse this afternoon

A total solar eclipse is occurring today (Monday, 21st August) afternoon. It is estimated that around 30 Crore persons can watch this total solar eclipse.

This eclipse can be seen in full-scale in the United States of America.

When the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth align in a straight line in their orbits, the sun gets totally eclipsed. The scientists have informed that there will be total darkness in the earth for 1 minute and 36 seconds.

The scientists have strongly warned that this total solar eclipse must not be seen with the naked eye.

Monitoring cameras have been in installed various zoological parks to observe any changes in the behaviour of animals during this total solar eclipse.
