After a long time of uncertainties and confusions, the state government of Tamil Nadu has decided to provide admission for the medical courses on the basis of the performance in NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test).
The Indian Medical Council has released the rank list based on NEET performance today (23rd August). The admissions are scheduled to commence in a day.
There is a state government quota of 4567 seats for medical courses in the government and private medical colleges in Tamil Nadu.
Apart from this, 57 seats have been returned after the All India Quota was settled. So, there are total 4624 seats available for admission to the medical courses.
