Solah Seedi, a long-lost traditional game in the state was recently launched by Vinita Sidhartha of Kreeda, along with her team, at Odyssey, Adyar as a part of Madras Week Celebration. There was a special play session arranged where public participated enthusiastically.
Ms. Vinita, Founder, Kreeda said, It is a well-known game in north India and many people are familiar with it as well. But sadly, none of the locals in Tamil Nadu seem to remember this game. Solah Seedi is a battle board game that is played by two teams with even number of pieces. There are very particular and fixed rules to this game, much like how battles were fought in real life in the olden days.
