IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) has announced the written test for the recruitment of 7883 clerk posts in the nationalised banks. Graduates are eligible to apply for the above.
There are 1277 clerical posts to be filled in the state of Tamil Nadu in the nationalised banks. The written tests are tentatively fixed to be conducted in the months of November/December.
Age Limit: The candidates must be in the age group 20-28 as on 1st September 2017. In other words, the candidates should have born between 2nd September 1989 and 1st September 1997. The candidates born on the above 2 dates are also eligible to apply. Age limit concession will be given to some selected groups as per the government rules and regulations.
Academic Qualifications: The candidates should be graduates in any faculty in any of the government-approved/recognized universities. Or, they may have an equivalent qualification with proof. They should be knowledgeable in computer operations.
Selection Procedure: The candidates will have to write the general written examination/ Mark cards will be given based on the performance in the Preliminary Examination and the Main Examination.
When any of the 19 nationalised banks announce the vacancies for the posts of clerks, the candidates who have written IBPS tests can participate with their mark cards and get the appointments.
Fees: For common or open community cadre and OBC – Rs. 500. For SC/ST/differently-abled/ex-military personnel, it is Rs. 100. The fees can be paid online. Otherwise, the application payment challans can be downloaded from the internet and paid offline directly in the banks.
Applying Procedure: The eligible and the interested candidates can visit the official IBPS website and fill up the application and submit the same. Take the scan of the passport-size photograph and the signature in order to upload the same in the application. Once the application is submitted the application fee may be made either online or offline.
Take 2 copies of the filled application after downloading the same and keep them for future use.

Starting date for online application: 12th September 2017
The last date for applying: 3rd October 2017
Dates of preliminary tests: 2nd, 3rd, 9th, and 10th December 2017
The date for the main examination: 21st January 2018
