Petrol price increase unprecedented in the last 3 years

The prices of petrol and diesel have gone up to an unprecedented high over the last 3 years. As on today (Thursday, 14th September), petrol is sold at Rs. 72.97 per litre and diesel at Rs. 61.87 per litre.

As compared to the prices on 16th June, the price of petrol has gone up by Rs. 4.95 and diesel, by Rs. 4.46. The drivers are discontented and upset and observe this is due to the current system of daily revision of petrol and diesel prices.

Meanwhile, the central petroleum minister, Dharmendra Pradhan met the press reporters and informed that the central government is not interested in interfering the system of daily revision of petrol and diesel prices. As the prices of petrol and diesel have gone up in the international market, the local prices had also gone up. But it will reduce shortly.
