The central minister Ravishankar Prasad has informed that there are plans to link the driving licence with Aadhar card shortly.
The central government has stressed earlier that Aadhar would be essential to avail the welfare offers. A case was filed against this proposal. The enquiry has been conducted and the verdict is yet to come.
Meanwhile, the central government had ordered to link PAN with Aadhar card. The deadline has been given till end December.
While addressing the Digital Haryana Conference, the central minister Ravishankar Prasad informed that the central government has planned to link the driving licence with Aadhar card. The minister had a discussion with Nitin Gadkari.
With this, the digital technology would enable to compare the digital identity and his/her body organ/part identity. He further explained that the main objective of linking PAN card and Aadhar card is to prevent the malpractices and mal-operations in money transactions.
