Computer teachers for government schools to be selected in 2 months

The function of distributing the appointment orders for the selected postgraduate teachers was organised yesterday (Thursday, 21st September) in Chennai. The state minister K. A. Sengottaiyan, presided over the function and addressed the gathering.

The task of selection of 2315 postgraduate teachers was completed in a relatively short period of just 40 days. This is a typical example proving the speed of execution of the present government.

Giving due consideration to the welfare of the students, the department of school education is making changes in the system. The ranking system for the +2 and SSLC, which was adopted till recent times, offered the scope of unnecessary differences among the students and the schools, has been removed. Further, the examination results of 19 Lakh students were informed through SMS.

In order to facilitate the students prepare better for the national level competitive examinations, 412 coaching centres are scheduled to be started before the end of September.

There are vacancies for 648 computer teachers in the government high schools and higher secondary schools. They are to be selected within the next 2 months. The written test will be conducted and the results will be announced within just a month’s time. Another notable plan is to identify children with defective learning ability and to give them special training.
