The Indian Weather Bureau has informed that there are prospects of 2 cyclones getting developed on 7th October and 12th October over the Bay of Bengal.
The announcement notes that the northeast monsoon rainy season is set to start in Tamil Nadu by the end of this week. There are prospects of 2 cyclones developing over the Bay of Bengal on 7th and 12th October.
There are prospects of the 1st cyclone crossing the coast around 11th October and the 2nd cyclone crossing the coast by 20th October. It may rain quite heavy during the 1st Cyclone throughout Tamil Nadu.
Both these cyclones will clear the coast in the region between Tamil Nadu, Cuddalore and Andhra, Nellore. As the rain will be heavy with a strong breeze, a lot of damage may be expected.
Because of these 2 cyclones, there will be an increase of the average rainfall during the northeast monsoon rainy season by 111%.
Further, there are prospects of a low-pressure zone forming over the Bay of Bengal between Kodiyakkarai and Cuddalore which may weaken later.
Due to the above 2 cyclones, the northeast monsoon rainy season may start by 26th October. The average rainfall is expected during this monsoon season. There may be additional rains in the South Tamil Nadu region.
