The present chairperson of the State Bank of India, Arundhati Bhattacharya is due to complete her service and retire on 7th October.
Subsequently, Rajnish Kumar has been appointed as the new chairman of the State Bank of India.
The cabinet recruitment council has approved his selection. He is set to assume office as the Chairman of SBI on 7th October. It has been informed that he will continue in this post for the next 3 years.
Rajnish Kumar started his career as an officer in 1980. He worked in various departments. With his hard work, he moved up gradually and became the Managing Director of the State Bank of India in the year 2015. Presently, he is in charge of the retail commercial trading department.
