The Minister of School Education K.A. Sengottaiyan announced that the material for NEET will soon be made available for students on mobile phones. The question bank and preparatory materials shall be made available for studies in phases, he further added.
 
Students aiming to appear for the NEET Exam and other competitive exams in national levels will have to prepare for a total of 50,000 questions. Starting from the end of October, the School Education Department shall release 1000 to 2000 questions every week. All these shall be made available online and on mobile devices as well.
 
In an earlier announcement, the Minister had said that the state government will facilitate the students preparing for competitive examination with a descriptive study material prepared by all experts and teachers from across India. The Minister addressed a conference for all school principals in Tamil Nadu on Futuristic Schools. Confederation of Indian Industry in association with Rajalakshmi Institutions has organized the conference.
 
Smart classrooms
Giving a push to stay in-line with technological advancements, Mr. Sengottaiyan said the State would get over 3,000 smart classrooms set up soon. For this, global tenders shall get floated by next week, he added.
 
On 15th November, an amended curriculum will be rolled out. This will be available for public access for 10 days so that suggestions and ideas can be received with which necessary change and updates can be done.
 
Highlighting the role played by principals in school education system, there were discussions about the authority and accountability in the present scenario.
 
This conference saw participation from over 130 principals. The Vice Chairman of CII, Tamil Nadu State Council who also graced the event said the event aims at setting up a platform where principals can share and discuss their respective experiences in the education field.
