Abiding by the demands of public and motorists, two-way traffic is likely to be set around Luz Church Road and Royapettah High Road with minor changes in the system that earlier existed.

The Light Motor Vehicles and 2-wheelers hailing from RK Mutt Road will be made to take the route via Royapettah High Road. The other way is to go via Luz Church Road or take the right heading to Kutchery Road to get to their destination. Anyhow, MTC buses and goods vehicles will be prohibited from entering the Royapettah High Road straight away; they will have to travel via Luz Church road or take the right heading to Kutchery Road.

Vehicles heading from Santhome via Kutchery road and heading towards Luz junction will be prohibited from entering Royapettah High Road. They will rather have to travel straight through Luz Church Road and Karpagambal Nagar for getting to their destination. Instead, they can also take the free left to head to RK Mutt Road.

According to a senior police official, new arrangements shall be made in trials basis starting from Saturday (today).

According to the new traffic plans, along Karpagambal Nagar and P.S. Sivasamy Salai till Luz Church Road, the rout will be declared 2-way and will have entry into Oliver Road or the Musiri Subramaniam Salai for reaching Karpagambal Nagar Junction via Luz Church Road.

Vehicles including 2-wheelers and LMVs hailing from Musiri Subramaniam Salair heading to P.S. Sivamany Salai can henceforth take a right towards Luz Church road through Karpagambak Nagar either in the left or right for attaining their destination. However, MTC and goods vehicles hailing from Musiri Subramaniam Salai will be let to take left turn at P.S. Sivamani Salai for heading to their destination.

On the other hand, LMVs and two-wheelers starting from Karpagambal Nagar via Luz Church Road can henceforth take left cut via Luz junction or take right to head to Alwarpet. The vehicles hailing from Luz Church Road and heading to Luz junction need to take a left turn towards Royapettah High Road or go straight via Kutchery Road or take the right along R.K. Mutt Road.

The vehicles hailing from Luz junction heading towards Royapettah High Road via Royapettah Bridge shall not be allowed to take let turn through P.S. Sivamani Salai.
