A special ward has been set up at the Chennai Kilpauk government hospital ready to provide treatment for the wounds sustained due to accidents while burning the firecrackers.
It may be noted that this hospital already has 70 beds for fire-related wounds and damages.
However, just to be in a prepared mode for treating that fire-wounds sustained during the Deepavali festival, an additional special ward has been set up in this hospital.
The Dean of the hospital, Vasanthamani informed that all required medicines and equipment to handle any complaint or emergency has been arranged in stock.
Further, doctors and nurses will be available throughout the 24 hours of the day on a rotation basis.
