Kandha Sashti celebrations at Thiruchendur Temple to commence tomorrow (20th Oct)

The Kandha Sashti festival is set to be celebrated at the famous Thruchendur Temple from tomorrow (Friday, 20th October).

Lord Muruga has 6 famous temples in Tamil Nadu, known as –Arupadai Veedugal. Thiruchendur temple for Lord Muruga or Subramanya Swami is considered to be the Irandam Padai Veedu.

Kandha Sashti is the most important festival celebrated here in this temple. This is set to commence from tomorrow (20th October).

The temple corridors will be opened in the early morning 1.00 AM tomorrow (Friday, 20th October).

The most important event of the festival, called ‘Soorasamharam’, is performed on the 6th day of the Kandha 
Sashti Festival at 4.30 PM on 25th October.

A considerable crowd of devotees has already gathered in Thiruchendur on this special occasion.

Special buses are being operated from various places to Thiruchendur to facilitate the large number of devotees of Lord Muruga to visit Thiruchendur on this important occasion.
