Chennai District Collector: All schools and colleges to function as usual today (30th Oct)

The Chennai District collector V. Anbuselvan has announced that all the schools and colleges will function as usual even though it has been raining heavily.
The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there would be rains in the coastal areas due to the recently formed cyclonic formation in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the area near Sri Lanka,
Meanwhile, it has been raining intermittently in the Chennai Metro City throughout yesterday evening (Sunday, 29th October) and later this intensified and there was heavy rain in the night.
The rain has been persistent and heavy rain is continuing in the city-suburban areas such as Guindy, Tambaram, Pallavaram, Vandalur, Chepauk, and Vadapalani.
In this situation, the Chennai district collector has announced that all the colleges and schools in Chennai will function as usual.
