The chennai city has been put tight security due to the 20th anniversary of  Babar Masjidh Demolition day and moreover that Ajmal Kasab’s recent hanging may cast a long shadow to the city. 

The Central agencies belie­ve that there could be an attack on Indian establishments by Pak-based militant groups on the 20th anniversary of Babar masj­id demolition on Thursday, because India hanged Kas­ab,” said an officer here. a senior police officer noted that security has been beefed up across the state  as far as possible Kasab factor is going to affect the situation in this state. Top Officials of police said to local police stations to monitor the each and every places and main roads ,parks The top brass in the police headquarters here have already told district police officer to monitor all places of public gathering and government establishments. The entire police force is deployed to increa­se vigil. All places of worship have been under constant surveillance. All entries and exit points at railway stations and bus terminals are also being monitored. Apart from uniformed men and police personnel in civvies and hundreds of surveillance cameras are being used to monitor crowds at railway stations and bus terminals.

The higher officials gave the emergency number for the sake of welfare and protection of public and public properties and he added that  if they notice any unclaimed baggage at railway stations and bus stands.
