Now is the time for the increased likeliness of experiencing leakage in walls, fungus formation in walls and wooden furniture and wet floors. If that’s your rented or leased home, it’s okay, but you need to be extra cautious during this season.
 
Here are some quick tips to take care of your home clean
 
Keep your furniture clean with dry cloth
When you are used to cleaning the wooden furniture with a wet cloth, shift it to a dry cloth during this season. Excessive moisture content in the air tends to spoil your furniture. There are exclusive cleaning agents available for cleaning wooden furnishings – they come handy during monsoon.
 
Roll away your carpets
When the floor is mopped using a wet cloth, the dampness stays throughout the day. Hence, to make sure that the carpets don’t get spoilt, store them dry and safe. Before storing, dry them thoroughly and wrap in a plastic cover.

In this season, a lot of cockroaches, bugs and flies are likely. Hence, choose to make use of a cleaning agent that can drive away these bugs. Keep the floor dry by mopping it as often as you can.
 
Weekly, change your linens
Your linens are prone to get spoilt due to moisture content in the air. So, it is better that you change the bedcover, bed sheet, etc. every week or at least clean them on alternate weeks. You may choose to dry clean them rather than washing it in washing machine.
 
Keep the drains are clean
Drains in your house are the next big factor of concern. You may notice them getting clogged very often due to excessive food particles getting stuck inside. So, keep unclogging the drains regularly – as often as required. In addition to the foul smell that it gives rise to, these drains can serve as a breeding ground for insects and there may be overflow of water in houses.
 
Complete all electrical wiring woks
In case there are unattended wires in your house, you should first of all focus on fixing them. When there is any faulty wiring in the house, do not neglect it. Get it fixed at the earliest. Because of heavy rain showers, electrical failure is likely and this may give rise to short circuit that may turn dangerous. So, precaution needs to be taken to fix all these electrical wirings.
 
Leakages in the corner
Leakage in houses is yet another major concern in most houses. There are perhaps leakage in wall or water in your house. Get them fixed at the earliest so that you can avoid water seepage inside home. There are adhesives available to stop water leakage. Choose to use them to combat leakage.
