Holiday declared for schools in Chennai and 8 other districts today (Nov 6)

District collectors of Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Viluppuram, Cuddalore, Thiruvannamalai and Karaikal have declared holiday today (Monday, 6th November) for all schools.
Earlier it has been announced by the Chennai district collector V.Anbuselvan - a decision regarding whether the schools will function in or not today (Monday, 6th November) will be taken at 5.00 AM. Now district collectors of Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Viluppuram, Cuddalore, Thiruvannamalai and Karaikal officially declared holiday today (Monday, 6th November) for all schools due to incessant heavy rains.
