Chennai Rain and TN Update (Tamil Nadu Weatherman)

A sharp spell expected in the morning and We may see more on and off spells here and there in Chennai till Wednesday and break in rains will be seen from Wednesday in most parts of Tamil Nadu.
Some Parts of Chennai, Tiruvallur and Kancheepuram district got good rains from the night and early morning spells and the rainfall are as follows
- Thiruporur (ECR) - 62
- Kadambathur (Tiruvallur) - 56
- Puzhal - 40
- Cholavaram - 36
- Redhills - 35
- Anna Nagar (PWS) - 30
- Kolapakkam (near Airport) - 23
- Chembarabakkam - 20
- Meenambakkam - 13
- Guindy - 10
- Taramani - 10
Today - Chennai - More on and off rains with the morning spell expected to be sharp and intense one
Chennai to see many short spell of rains throughout the day. the clouds once moving into the land will give the interior areas of Chennai more rains than the ones close to the coast. A sharp morning spell is expec.
Today and Tomorrow - Tamil Nadu
As the low fades away, the finishing touch always goes to the interior tamil nadu. The western district such as Nilgiris (particularly coonoor belt), Kovai, Dindigul, Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Tiruppur, Erode, Karur will have chance to get rains. Delta belt will see rains reduce from evening.
Delta, Cuddalore, Pondy and ECR got heavy rains
Delta belt is getting deluged again, Kollidam has got 160 mm rainfall till now in the morning and the delta belt its going to get more rains today and tomorrow.
One hell of a long lasting low comes to end - Rains to reduce from Wednesday
No major rains is seen with the long lasting low fading away very fast, rains will completely stop from 8th (Wednesday) in most places in Tamil Nadu.
Weakened cyclone moving from Gulf of Thailand into Bay of Bengal
The cyclone which now weakend into low pressure is expected to move into Bay of Bengal. We need to watch how this low develops. It may again intensify into Depression and cyclone. There are too much divergence on the intensity and track with models showing Tamil Nadu to Bangladesh. So dont fall for rumours, when the time is right and track is clear, i will update on this.
