Chennai Rains forecast for next 10 days

After battering the city for entire last week, Chennai rains have now started weakening. During the next 24 hours, we can only expect few light to moderate rain and thundershowers. However, one or two heavy spells cannot be ruled out.
Thereafter, November 7 onwards, rains are likely to reduce further. According to Skymet Weather, the trough of low and the cyclonic circulation which has been responsible for giving some heavy to very heavy rains over Chennai are now likely to shift further southwards.
Hence, after next 24 hours, we can expect light rains with isolated moderate spells. But due to the presence of Monsoon surge over the region, on and off rains will continue to visit Chennai in coming days.
Chennai has already recorded 353 mm of rains against its monthly average rainfall of 374.4 mm during the first six days of the month itself.
