The director informed that the strong low-pressure zone formed over the central-west Bay of Bengal has now weakened and has become a low-pressure zone but stabilized at the same location. This low-pressure zone centre is situated at 250 km southwest of Masulipattanam of Andhra Pradesh.
As the above low-pressure zone is situated very far away from Tamil Nadu, there is no alarm for the state of Tamil Nadu regarding heavy rain. This low-pressure zone may drift towards the Northern direction and may gradually weaken.
