Central Government declares holiday on 2nd December for Milad-un-Nabi

As per the announcement released from the office of the newspaper information department, it states that 1st December had been earlier declared as a holiday on the occasion of the Muslim festival Milad-un-Nabi.

In this situation, following an appeal from the Chief Haji, the state government of Tamil Nadu has announced that 2nd December is a holiday for the above festival instead of 1st December as announced earlier.

Subsequently, the Reserve Bank of India has announced a holiday on 2nd December in Tamil Nadu for all the banks under the constitutional act section 1881.
