In Chennai share autos are in demand now with reduced rates

Bus strike that has been going on now has resulted in many problems for the public as the people were not able to travel to their destinations easily like before. People now depend on the share autos for their travel.
It is now said that the share autos have extended their services and also they have dropped their fares to help the public. It must be noted that share autos made their presence felt in the routes like Guindy - Ashok Pillar, Doveton - Moolakadai etc.
B. Anbalagan who is the CITU representative of the share auto drivers shared his thoughts and said the share auto drivers who normally operate in the suburbs along the routes Tambaram- Guduvanchery, Avadi - Ambattur, Thiruvanmiyur - Kovalam have extended their trips now to core places in Chennai and that is a superb piece of information. He also spoke about how during the non-peak hours of time this has reduced the demand and how the ticket fare was also lowered. He further added that 80% of 1800 share autos registered in Chennai, Thiruvallur and in Kancheepuram operated in core places.
It is worthy to note that drivers of share autos normally take Rs 10 from the public who travel from Guindy to Ashok pillar during the normal days. Now because of the bus strike many people use share autos for their travel and as a result of that the share auto drivers are also eager to do more trips than before. It is now revealed that drivers of these share autos took Rs 7 from the passengers.
Kalaiarasan who resides in Tambaram spoke about how a share auto took advantage of this present situation and charged Rs 50 for a trip from Chennai Central to Koyambedu instead of usual rate of Rs 20.
S. Namburajan who is the general secretary of Tamil Nadu Association for the Rights of All Types of Differently Abled and Caregivers also shared his thoughts. He spoke about how the temporary staffs belonging to MTC mistreated few differently abled people and share autos helped these differently abled persons. Mr. Namburajan revealed that the temporary staffs of MTC did not accept the concession passes of these differently abled persons and created problems to them without knowing the rules.
It must be noted that during the evening peak time, app based taxi services affected surge pricings up to three times. It must be noted that ever since these share autos were first introduced some years back they have become highly sort after as the normal autos demand huge amount.
