To start with the weather of North, a Western Disturbance is persisting over North Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining Pakistan as an upper air system. With this, cloudy sky will prevail over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Light rain and snow is also expected over the higher reaches of these mentioned states in few pockets.
Meanwhile dry and cold winds will blow across the northwestern plains. So, moderate fog is expected over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh.
Moving to Central India, dry and cold weather will continue to prevail. Marginal rise in day temperatures are expected over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.
Talking about East and Northeast India, Northeast Uttar Pradesh, North Bihar and parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal will continue to witness dense to very dense fog. Cold day conditions would also be seen over Northeast Uttar Pradesh and North Bihar.
Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulation persisting over East Bangladesh and adjoining Assam would give light rain and snow over parts of Arunachal Pradesh. In fact, moderate fog would also occur over parts of northeastern states such as Lower Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
Lastly in South, dry and warm weather will prevail over the entire Southern Peninsula. Meanwhile, South Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep may witness light rains in few pockets.
